The Indian T20 League will be held in the UAE this year and preparations are going on fast, as the tournament is going to start on 19 September. The league will be held in the UAE due to Corona virus infection. Due to differences between India and China in June last year, the Indian T20 league title sponsorship company Vivo was raised by Indian viewers on social media demanding the termination of the agreement with BCCI.
Because Vivo is a Chinese company and BCCI also does not want to offend the Indian audience, BCCI has terminated the contract with Vivo for this year.
Interested third party turnover should be more than INR 300 crores.
As per the final audit of the third party accounts, the turnover of the interested third party should be more than INR 300 crores.
Interested third party (excluding marketing agency / agents) will be required to submit EOI in the manner given below. For the avoidance of doubt, it is clarified that the marketing agency / agent will not be eligible for the bid and any bid submitted by the marketing agency / agent will be initially rejected.
Each EOI should include the following:
- Full name and address of the respective third party
- The product category or product categories and interests will have to be indicated based on which the third party will be appointed as the title sponsor for the Indian T20 League 2020
- Final audit accounts evidencing a turnover of INR 300 crore have to be submitted.
It was told that the name of the authority will be announced on August 18. The last date for submission of bids is 14 August, the board said in a release, "These rights are available for the period 18 August 2020 to 31 December 2020. Detailed information about this will be given to those parties who submit EOI (Express of Interest) and will be found eligible. "
